Massage therapy has many overall physical and mental benefits such as relaxation, increase range of motion and flexibility, decrease tone in muscles, reduce mental stress and help strengthen the immune system. In the case of injury, either from trauma such as an accident or surgery or repetitive strain such as poor posture, a massage therapist can physically stretch your muscles, inhibit muscle spasm and help break down scar tissue. A massage therapist is trained to assess and treat most soft tissues in the human body. Once a pattern of muscle dysfunction is assessed and treated, a massage therapist will provide advice and tools such as specific exercise and stretches to lessen or eliminate the soft tissue problem. Many people also use regular massage therapy as a form of body maintenance, receiving massage faithfully for the continuance of good health.

Physiotherapists have an advanced understanding of body mobility and how to restore that mobility and strength as a result of illness or disease, or sport, work and accident related injuries. They are skilled in the assessment and management of a broad range of conditions that affect the musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems. They begin their work with an orthopaedic musculoskeletal examination to determine an injury diagnosis. They perform an orthopaedic physical examination assessing your medical history, joint range of motion, joint stability, joint arthrokinematics, length tension relationships in muscles, posture, alignment, flexibility, strength and stability in the clinical sense. This medical focus takes into account the factors necessary to preventable injuries and diseases like chronic back and neck pain and arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, and many others. They then perform a functional movement screen which is a biomechanical examination of the musculoskeletal system looking more closely at the integration of movement and function.

An Advanced Manual Physiotherapist uses their palpation skills to determine the inter-segmental movements of the spinal facet joints and the movements of peripheral joints and in so doing they are able to determine which soft tissue structure (muscles, ligaments, tendons) may restricted and in which direction this restriction is presenting itself. Various manual joint and soft tissue techniques are utilized to release the articular and myofascial restrictions and restore mobility in the joints of the hip, knee, foot, ankle, shoulder, ribs and spine. Manual Physiotherapists will also evaluate your biomechanical and functional mechanics and this information will confirm and consolidate their palpation findings and together formulate a physiotherapy diagnosis.

We analyze 30 different blood markers, such as hormones, enzyme function and inflammatory markers as well as your current health, your personal food likes and dislikes and your ultimate goals, without excluding any food groups, to scientifically create a tailor-made, detailed, unique and very easy to follow eating plan. The Weight Loss Program takes all the guess work out of what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat, to help you reach your perfect body weight and maintain optimal hormonal and metabolic balance.

The essence of this program is to crank up a sluggish metabolism and turn a person from being a fat storer into a fat burner.

It is not a calorie-counting, point-counting or deprivation diet but instead one which encourages you to eat the correct healthy foods in the right quantities at the proper time, which will balance your hormones, resulting in a healthy weight adjustment and a steady supply of energy, avoiding hunger cravings and mood swings
